In the idyllic land of Sweet Valley on the coast of California, where Pacific Ocean matches the blue-green eyes of the Wakefield twins and the local high school is the centre of the universe, lives one of the world’s most underrated characters.

Winston “class clown” Egbert is just a lanky 16 year old with a knack for being a nerd. Nope, he doesn’t have the chiseled jaw of Mr Creepy Collins or the coffee-coloured brown eyes of Todd Wilkins, but he brings humour to the crazy world of Sweet Valley and manages to hook up with some hotties way out of his league [I’m talking to you, Maria Santelli.]

He should be a rocket scientist, or an actuary or a neurosurgeon by now [but it’s Sweet Valley, so nobody ever ages]. So here is his version of how it all plays out in Sweet Valley

Winston over Bruce. Hands down everytime. Brains over braun. Humour over hair. A fine subject for this blog! I must admit being pleasantly suprised when Winston waltzed into corridoors on SVU on the TV series and looked quite the catch. Not even his dark rimmed glasses could mask the strapping specimen hiding behind the guise of a nerd.

Hello! I came across your blog because I’m part of the publishing team for the NEW Sweet Valley book–SWEET VALLEY CONFIDENTIAL: Ten Years Later & see that your blog is dedicated to the SV series. I’d love to be in touch with you if you’re interested in hearing more about the book and our currently-running Super Fan Campaign ( http://www.SweetValleyConfidentialTenYearsLater.com ).

winston is so sweet he would marry lila even though he deserves liz. (and liz is so sweet she would marry todd though she deserves winston.)

but it’s shallow sweet valley, so that has an effect, too.
